PHYSIOTHERAPY

Assessment. Treatment. Guided Movement.

At Pilates in Guelph, physiotherapy is focused on helping you better understand your body, manage injury or discomfort, and improve how you move in everyday life.

Whether you are recovering from injury, navigating ongoing pain, or returning to activity, our physiotherapy team provides individualized care grounded in assessment, clinical reasoning, and progressive movement.

OUR APPROACH

Every client begins with a detailed physiotherapy assessment to understand your history, your goals, and how your body is currently functioning.

From there, your physiotherapist will develop a personalized plan of care that may include education, exercise, and hands-on treatment. Your progress is monitored and your program is adjusted as needed to support your function and overall physical well-being.

  • Education related to your condition and recovery

  • Ongoing reassessment and progression of care

All treatment is tailored to the individual and based on your physiotherapistโ€™s clinical judgement.

CLINICAL PHYSIOTHERAPY CLASSES (Physiotherapist-Led)

Clinical Pilates classes are small group sessions led by a registered physiotherapist or physiotherapy assistant directed by the registered physiotherapist.

These classes use Pilates-based equipment and exercises to support strength, mobility, and coordination. Participation  require a physiotherapy assessment to ensure the program is appropriate for your individual needs.

We offer 2 types of Clinical Pilates Classes:

1.  Class type 1 is geared towards a specific focus.  Patient will move through a specific set of exercises prescribed by the registered physiotherapist, with individual modification given as dictated by the treatment plan.

2. Class type 2 is geared to a variety of patients needs.  In Class type 2, the patient will be given a program to perform in studio under the supervision of the registered physiotherapist.  This program will be specific to the patient and their needs.  For this class, the patient will require at least 2 treatment session above and beyond the initial assessment before joining the class.  Class price is $45 and it not included in Pilates in Guelph's memberships.
